STEP 1- Request for Password for First Time Login

 

1.    Logon to HECAS Portal (http://www.hecas.edu.bn)

 

 

 

      For first time access to HECAS portal, the student can click on the Guideline, to get

     step by step instruction to fill in the Application Form, request for Application

     Tracking number and submit  the Application

 

2.    The student/applicant using their DST Mobile line, has to send a SMS

 [Type “hecas new <no. of programmes> <IC no. or Passport no.>” and send to 8885555] to request for One-Time Password to initiate the First Time Login for www.hecas.edu.bn portal.

 

Eg. Type “hecas new 4 00075256” send to 8885555

 

 

3.    After the SMS request is sent, the student/applicant will receive a computer generated password (6-digit alpha-numeric). 

 

 

      Your password is 5si7ly (6-digits alpha numeric).  Please use this password to logon 

       to www.hecas.edu.bn.

 

4.    The student/applicant has to log on http://www.hecas.edu.bn, select First Time Login and enter the received password.

 

 

    The Student/applicant will key in the one time password on the First Time Login Page.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Step 2 - Confirmation on Programme Charges

 

1.    After the password is submitted on the First Time Login page, the system will request for a confirmation with the following SMS prompt.

 

Your application is $20 for 4 programmes. Pls confirm by typing HECAS   YES <IC  No.> to 8885555 to request for Application Tracking Number.

 

 

2.    System will prompt a SMS confirmation [You have applied for X Program for $20 and your Application Tracking no. is XXXXXX] (8 digit Alpha-numeric)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

STEP 3 – Tracking Number and Change of Log-In Password

Once the Tracking number is received via SMS, the student has to login in with the Tracking No and the previous One-Time Password received.

 

 

 

The system will automatically prompt the student to change the One -Time password to a New Password for future login.

 

 

Note:  The Student/applicant is reminded to keep the Application Tracking Number and the new password for future access.

 

The Student/applicant is required to enter their email address for password recovery purpose. This email address is changeable in section A of the form.

 

 

When the student submits the password change, the system will prompt:-

 

 

The student will received confirmation on their password change via email. The email will indicate their Tracking number and new password.


HECAS COMMON APPLICATION FORMS SECTION   

 

After successful login, the screen below will show:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Students are required to click on each of the section headings, Section A, Section B and Section C to complete the application.

 

SECTION A

 

 

Student/applicant has to enter in their personal details in the form provided and then click on the ‘Save and Check’ button to save. Please make sure that all compulsory fields are filled in.

 

 

SECTION B

 

 

Student/applicant need to click the Add button to select their examination achievements.

 

 

 

 

 

The Student/applicant need to select the examination that they have attended previously. The student/applicant must at least choose ONE from First Qualification and ONE from Second Qualification. If there is no option for the student/applicant to choose from, he/she will need to manually type in the examination achievements in the text boxes at the bottom of SECTION B.

 

 

Once the student/applicant has selected the type of examination attended, a list of subjects will appear on the screen. The list will contain both compulsory and optional subjects. The student/applicant will need to select the grade and year obtained respectively. The student/applicant is allowed to remove any optional subjects where necessary.

 

Students are allowed to type in the IELTS/IGCSE/GP or others result in the text box provided. For the other examination result that is not listed, students are required to key them manually to the ‘Programme Title’ and ‘Other Examination Results’ text boxes.


Section C

 

Student/applicant will need to select the programme preferences by order. If the student/applicant selects Scholarship as a first preference, he/she will need to select the programme categories and manually type in the programme’s title.

 

The Scholarship section will only be made available for Yellow IC holder. There will be another field for scholarship student/applicant to input the type of scholarship (Scholarship for Degree/ Scholarship for HND)

 

 

Declaration


Before student/applicant submit the application, he/she will need to make sure that all details are true, complete and accurate and no information requested or other material information has been omitted. Once confirm, please tick on the declaration check box and click ‘Submit Application’ button.

 

 

 

Once the student/applicant clicks Submit button, a prompt will appear to re-confirm the application submission.

 

     The student/applicant is able to print the completed and submitted form for their own record purposes.

 

 

 

When the student/applicant click on the submit application form, the student/applicant will see the above page for all the details that he/she had completed. The student/applicant can also print out the application form or save it in a PDF File format.

 

 



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 4 – Change Programme prior to Final Submission

 

Once the application form is completed, it will be saved automatically in the system until the final submission.  However, the student/applicant can still access from time to time using the Application Tracking number to make necessary changes to the forms or amend the selected programmes until the final submission date.

 

There is no charge for amending the forms or change of programmes.

 

However, it is important to note that once the application form is submitted, the student/applicant is not allowed to change, modify or add any more programmes.          

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 5 – Add Programme prior to Final Submission

 

Once the application form is completed, it will be saved automatically in the system until the final submission.  The student/applicant can still access from time to time using the Application Tracking number to make necessary changes to the forms to amend or add programmes until the final submission date.

 

To add programmes, the student/applicant has to send a SMS [Type “hecas add <no. of programmes> <IC No. or Passport No.>” and send to 8885555] to add more programmes.

 

If the student/applicant choose to add 2 programmes,

 

Eg. Type “HECAS ADD 2 00075256’’ send to 8885555

 

The SMS Reply will be

 

“You have added 2 programme(s) for $10. Please login to HECAS with Normal Login.”

             

 

The charges to the student/applicant may be more than $20.

Eg.  Student/Applicant  A  first time requested 2 programmes ($10) then he decide to add another 3 programmes (which is $15).

 

For additional programmes, the charge will be based on the number of  programmes the students have selected, hence the charge will be as follows:-

 

1 programme  =  $ 5

2 programmes = $10

3 programmes = $15

4 programmes = $20

5 programmes = $25

 

However, if for the first time the students have selected either 4-6

programmes for first time request there will be a maximum of $20 for 4,5 or

6 programmes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 6 - Request for Resend of Tracking Number

 

In the event that the students/applicants forgot their Application Tracking number, they will be able to request the same tracking number with different keyword and their IC No [Type “hecas check <IC no> and send to 8885555].

 

There will be a $1.00 charge for the Tracking number request.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 7 - Request for Resend of Password

 

If the student/applicant has forgotten their password, he/she can log on to  http://www.hecas.edu.bn click on forgotten password.  He/She will need to enter the  Date of Birth, IC No, Tracking No and Email Address.

 

 

The password will be sent to the email id. At the same time, he/she will receive a SMS confirmation.

 

             SMS Reply “The password with your Tracking number has been sent to your email.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FOR NON-DST SUBSCRIBERS

HECAS ON-LINE APPLICATION FORM REGISTRATION

 

 

 

For Non-DST Subscribers, they can go to nearest DSTCom to request a Tracking Number. DSTCom Customer Service will then use a DST’s mobile number to request a Tracking Number for the students/applicant. A manual receipt and Tracking Number will be issued upon receiving cash payment from students/applicant.

 

In case of Non-DST Subscribers forgetting their Tracking Number, they will have to go to nearest DSTCom counters to request it by showing their Identity Card.

 

With the tracking number, Students/applicant will be able to logon to HECAS and submit their application form. Students/applicant are allowed to logon to the system more than once to complete the entire application. The system will automatically saved the completed data entry on the form each time you log in to make changes before the final submission.  However, once the student/applicant submitted their application, the student is not able to make changes, amend or add any programmes to their submission.

 

The student/applicant is able to print the completed and submitted form for their own record purposes.
